About Best for Broward Babies
Best for Broward Babies is a county-wide collaboration of community and government agencies whose goal is to strengthen the family unit, save babies’ lives, and address the increased rate of black fetal and infant deaths in the county.
In October 2010, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, in collaboration with the Broward County Human Service Department, Community Partnerships Division, launched the Best for Broward Babies initiative as a result of funds generously provided by the National Center for Chronic Disease and Health Promotion. Best for Broward Babies supporters include the AD Henderson Foundation, Lillian S. Wells Foundation, and the Community Foundation of Broward.
